Crispy Tofu Bites

This Classical Vegetarian Delight shows and proves every time any one who tries to doubt the flavor of Tofu. Believe it or not Tofu has been consumed in china for over 2,000 years and has found itself a staple in a lot of recipes. The Soy bean has developed over time agriculturally as well as throughout its processing. So be careful no matter how good this recipe is everything should be done in moderation 🙏🏾. What you need:
Basil & Thyme
Five Spice Seasoning (A Combination of cinnamon, cloves, fennel, star anise, and peppercorns)
Preparations & Simple Instruction:
Cut your tofu into medium cubes add ½ teaspoon of salt, pepper, chili & five spice now add a sprinkle of thyme and basil –
Then begin to add equal amounts of cornflour and cornmeal (about half a cup each) enough to evenly coat your pieces.
Then add ¼ cup of water and re-coat with cornflour.
Heat a pan with oil of your choice: Sunflower Oil does just fine, once the oil is hot add your cubes of tofu and allow them to gently fry until golden brown and crisp! Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds!
This recipe goes great Coated with any Sauce but here is one we like to make!
Sweet & Spicy Simmer Sauce:
What you need:
Minced ginger and garlic
Add minced ginger and garlic to a teaspoon of oil and fry for a few seconds on a medium to low heat,
Add a tablespoon or two of tomato puree, 1 teaspoon of Soy Sauce, a ¼ of fresh lemon juice, chili flakes and a tablespoon of ketchup, half a teaspoon of sugar and salt and half a cup of water
Simmer for about 5 minutes and your sauce is ready for dipping or coating.
